Stridende Flag (pyxren)

Stridende

A term under the alterhuman umbrella for people that are human, but simultaneously feel disconnected to humanity. The identity of people under this term feels contradictory, confusing, and hard to describe.

A key part of being stridende is feeling disconnected to humanity while still feeling connected to humanity, like the connection glitched out. Stridende is not being half human, as a stridende person is fully connected to being a human, at the same time as being disconnected to being a human.

Many things can be affected by this, like your understanding of gender, sexuality, aldernicity, etc., but these things don’t have to be affected.

Someone can be born stridende, develop it later in life, choose to sever the bond between oneself and humanity and fail, etc. There is no wrong way to be stridende, as long as you feel the key parts of this identity.

A stridende person may have a connection to something besides being a human. Someone who is, for example, completely connected to dogs rather than being connected to humans, but still completely connected to humans, may be dogstrid.

Stridende comes from the danish word modstridende, meaning contradictory or conflicting. Stridende is pronounced strid-end, the e is silent.

Here’s the stridveste flag as an .svg (for some reason the front star doesn’t have corner rounding, it’s meant to have the same amount as the back)
