Dysthymia Contraumia
Dysthymia contraumia are contraumia which refer to persistent depressive disorder (also called dysthymia). People with a dysthymia contraumia do not have persistent depressive disorder, but feel some kind of connection to them due to trauma. This connection is probably unhealthy, as it is identifying with a disorder you don’t have while knowing you don’t have it.
Contraumia are an alternative to transid for people who recognize their feelings are not a reflection of who they are but a result of their trauma, and wish to heal rather than transition. Contraumia are not an alternative to self-diagnosis!
