╰┈➤ persodivergent, also known as interdivergent, is an all-encompassing term for those with personality disorders, including those with PDNOS, and those with traits of a PD, but no conclusive label. both terms are interchangeable, and mean the same thing.
╰┈➤ these terms were made because i couldn’t find any that weren’t either clunky (’people with personality disorders or personality disorder traits’), or couldn’t be said aloud (’pwpds’). so i made one!
╰┈➤ the symbol for this is ≠, because those who are interdiverse are not equivalent to the ‘typical’ personality.
╰┈➤ persodivergent comes from ‘personality divergent’, while interdivergent comes from ‘internally divergent’. the opposite of persodivergent would be persotypical, and the opposite of interdivergent would be intertypical.

blue : depth & understanding : blue is a pretty uncommon color in nature, and this relates to how personality disorders are uncommon in the general population. blue represents depth and understanding. the depth of one’s personality, and understanding the intersection between one’s personality traits and oneself.
purple : change & transformation : purple is also an uncommon color in nature, again relating to the infrequency of personality disorders in the general population. purple represents change and transformation. the changes one may go through as a result of their persodivergence, and their transformation as they progress through life.
black : negativity & mystery : black represents the strong negative feelings experienced by many persodivergent people. black also represents mystery. personality disorders can hide aspects of the self and make it hard to find who one truly is.
white : positivity & clarity : white represents the strong positive feelings experienced by many persodivergent people. white also represents clarity, about personality disorders and about oneself.
pink : acceptance & healing : pink represents acceptance of one’s persodivergence, and the joy that comes with it. it also represents healing with regard to personality disorders. symptoms may never go away, but they can be managed.
red : demonization & stigma : no matter what, all persodivergent people are subject to some kind of stigma due to the general demonization of personality disorders. while this is not a positive part of having a personality disorder, it is an integral part of it.
