Context: Ductuaffectis, or ductuaffian attraction, is a form of attraction in which one feels an animalistic sense of desire and connection to an individual. This term can be used for one who feels like the dedication, passion, and love they feel is almost pet-like in nature. For example, one may feel a sense of loyalty and love for an individual that they can only describe as being ‘like a dog would feel to its owner.’
