Hybrid Facet Terminology

These are terms for facets in hybrid/chimera/mixed systems.

Aligned Facet

An aligned facet is a median member of a hybrid system that has a connection to a present multiple member. Yellow circle F is an example of this.

Partially Aligned Facet

A partially aligned facet is a median member of a hybrid system that has a partial connection to one (or more) multiple member(s). Brown E is an example of this.

Multi-Aligned Facet

A multi-aligned facet is a median member of a hybrid system that has one (or more) strong connections to a multiple member and one (or more) weaker connection to a multiple member. Pinkish D is an example of this.

Externally Aligned Facet

An externally aligned facet is a median member of a subsystem that is connect to a multiple member not present in said subsystem. Muted purple H is an example of this.

Equally/Unaligned Facet

An equally aligned or unaligned facet is a median member of a hybrid system who has equal connection to all present multiple members. Magenta C is an example of this.

Mutually Aligned Facet

A mutually aligned facet is a median member of a hybrid system who only has connection to another median headmate, and NOT a connection to any present multiple member. Blue H is an example of this.

Abandoned Facet

An abandoned facet is a post-facet who used to have a connection to another headmate (usually multiple but not necessarily) but was cut off for some reason (such as purposeful splitting or the connected member going dormant without the facet). This results in the facet turning into a fragment or “simple” multiple member. Not always negative.
