On my old mogai account @/teamdaydream I once made 2 reclaimed terms. I was then harrased by sysmeds claiming the definitions I gave were invalid and I had no right to reclaim those terms as I was endogenic. I ended up deleting the post and left tumblr for a few weeks until the harrasment stopped.
This left me feeling horrible about myself and left me terrified of posting anything remotely controversial. It took me a long time to be able to get to the point I am today, openly being my problematic self and being able to ignore haters. I stand by that orginal post I made. The terms are Iartrogenic and Psuedogenic, they were used in lot of old scientific papers on MPD to discredit certian systems. These terms were used against all plural people. The definitions I gave are valid and fit the orgins of the terms. I am plural-aligned and have UDD which gives me the right to reclaim them. I’m actually doubly allowed to reclaim psuedogenic as it was also used to demonise those with factitous disorder. I have factitous disorder. Even if their critisms were true there is no excuse for harrasment.
So here are the terms for you all.
Iatrogenic
This term could mean
-Your system was made by other people convincing you you were a system. You weren’t a system previously but after people started telling you you were you believed them which led to you actually forming a system.
-A system formed through therapy. This could be through internal family systems therapy, your therapist convincing you you’re a system and you believing them or if you were abused in therapy and had to form a system to deal with it.
-A reclaimantion of a term you’ve had used against you.
Pseudogenic
This term could mean
-A system created by you faking a system to the point the system became real.
-A system created by the self. Another term for pariogenic.
-A reclamation of a term used against you.
I love reclaiming terms and it’s a shame that these are the only ones I reclaimed due to being scared out of it. I’m adding 3 reclamations to my to be coined list.
