Parsex or Parasex is an umbrella term for anyone who is not dyadic and/or protosex, it includes both altersex and intersex people. It refers to someone who either was born with sex characteristics that cannot be transitionally classified as male or female, or desires sex characteristics that deviate from male and female.
The term appears to have been coined by Tumblr user Acro-Pluris.
Context: Endosex, also known as perisex or dyadic, refers to an individual who is not intersex. It describes people born with sex characteristics that fit typical binary notions of male or female body.
Protosex is when one has sex characteristics that are classified male or female, and desires those characteristics. It is the opposite of altersex.
Intersex is an umbrella term for people who are born with or develop sex characteristics that differ from the binary notions of a “male” or “female” body.
