A brief list of useful terms in the context of map activism.
🐑- MAPmisia/ MAPhobia: the discrimination and the system of oppression of MAPs by teleiophiles.
🐑-MERF (MAP exclusionary radical feminist): a person who describes themselves as a feminist but who exclude MAP females (and other gender-oppressed MAPs) from their feminist advocacy.
🐑-MAPfeminism: is a heterogenous branch of feminism that focuses on the experiences of MAP girls and women and in trying to understand their positions in relation to teleionormativity, ageism, adultism, sexism and other systems of oppression and seeks to reform or dismantle these normative systems. Although the focus is primarily on girls and women, various mapfeminisms also include other gender-marginalized individuals.
🐑- Homomaphobia: the intersection of homophobia and MAPhobia.
🐑- Teleiomisogyny: the idea that girls and women can’t be MAPs due to prejudices of girls and women not having a sexuality, especially not one that is seen by current society as “aggressive" or more broadly the oppression resulting from being at the intersection between girl/woman and MAP.
🐑- Teleioadultism: young MAPs not being believed to be MAPs when coming out as minor attracted (i.e. young people being seen as not having a sexuality, especially not one that is seen by current society as “aggressive”) or more broadly the oppression resulting from being at the intersection of being a minor and MAP.
🐑-Adultism or adultarchy: a form of social organization based on the subjugation of children and youth by adults.
I’d also like to add:
Aducentrism – a way of looking at the world through the perspective of an adult, without any consideration as to how something affects youth.
