Pivocholia: A gender related to melancholy, dulled-out cool colors, running mascara and/or eyeliner, saudade, staying up late to avoid having to stop distracting oneself and having to face one’s emotions, charcoal grey eyeliner, and late nights. It’s related to dark, abandoned city streets with occasional taxies passing by and crumpled posters rolling down the sidewalks, which are covered with discarded, sometimes broken, beer bottles, cigarette butts, and crumpled pieces of paper with messily written phone numbers on them.
The name comes from a mix of pivo (the word for beer in multiple languages), chol(ia) from melancholia, and ia from saudania
Flag colors were inspired by my associations with the vibe of this term
