anon: Hey can we get like… A term equal to FP (bpd), supply (npd) and dependee (dpd) but for SoD?
Something like:
AMP – active minded person: someone who a person with SoD perceives as having almost as much activeness to their actions as they do (for example, I, someone with SoD, am able to recognize my friend reacts to things and their reactions have value or meaning just like mine).
RLP – real living person: someone who a person with SoD perceives as fully real and sentient just like them. (For example, I, a person with SoD, am able to recognize personality patterns in someone else, or traits like empathy, emotion and memory, and therefore perceive them as full human beings like I am).
They’re different because of the level of sentience the person with SoD perceives in the person:
AMP being half or a percentage below 100% and above 0%, while RLP being 100%.
Similarly, I’d like to propose:
IOB – insentient object being: someone who the person with SoD perceives as being 0% sentient, not having any autonomy, personality or noticeable traits, or having them in such a low level that the person with SoD can’t perceive any humanity in them, or perceives it very low. (For example, I, someone with SoD, perceive my classmates as merely extras with no emotion or autonomy, therefore they’re IOBs to me.)
The names are up for change, I came up with them on the spot, but I think the concepts are pretty much it, based on my experience.
thats a GREAT idea omg!! im so glad the term resonated with people 😀
i have mild SF-SoD(i only partially hold the belief) and it sucks lmao
Context: SoD refers to having solipsism disorder.
