Sanguspirver: A gender related to colors associated with grunge (like those special browns and yellows and golds and greens that you kind of know on instinct, think the Smells Like Teen Spirit video), charcoal grey eyeliner, black Converse shoes, smashing guitars, blood, anger, cynicism, rebellion, moshing, mosh pits, dingy concert venues, smashed beer bottles, shattered glass, cigarette butts, and alcohol stains. It might also be related to the songs Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana and/or Slither by Velvet Revolver. Some also may experience this gender through a Sanguirum lens/as a Sanguirum gender, though that won’t apply to all users.
The name comes from a mix of Sangu from Sanguirum or sanguineus (the latin word for “of blood”), spir from spirit, v/ver from Velvet Revolver, and er from slither
The colors are inspired by my associations with the vibe of this term, as well as the related colors and my associations with cigarettes, beer bottles, and blood
