Genflow is an umbrella modifier to identity. A genflow identity is one that is only present when a particular trigger or situation happens. The “Gen” part can be replaced with more particular words to fit specific persons- that is why it can also be called Xflow.
Eg: Someone is usually pan, but is gay during SM scenes. They might explain that as being pan, SMflow gay.
