Why am I making a flag for this?
Faking is an unhealthy coping mechanism, it is not a horrible act people should be condeemed for. There is a lot of stigma around faking and I want to fight that. Faking is morally neutral most of the time and often harms the faker more than it harms others because many fakers self harm in order to induce symptoms.
I am a faker and I’m okay with that. I am trying to come up with ways to turn my faking into a healthy coping mechanism.
Note: This flag is not for people who have been falsely fakeclaimed. If you are someone who has been falsely fakeclaimed and would like to reclaim faker you can use this flag (also made by a radqueer).
