Autistic-Hearted Term (mixtape-rd)

mixtape-rd:

Autistic-Hearted

This term refers to those who’s identity is heavily affected by autism in a way similar to transautism, but without identifying as having it or desiring to have it…

There are many possible reasons for this connection, however some examples include:

  • A strong bond or connection to an autistic family member, close friend, partner, or someone else in their life.
  • Repeated and strong relatability with autistic characters or influencers.
  • Experiencing symptoms of autism or finding that coping mechanisms or advice that works for autistics work for you, despite not having it.
  • Feeling notably more comfortable around autistics than non autistics, possibly due to similar symptoms from another disorder or habits picked up from an autistic close-one.

These are not all the possible reasons for identifying this way, as any experience where autism effects ones identity without having or desiring to have it could be labeled this way (if one chooses or wishes to).
