i think i’m going to start making both transid and arissomei versions of any terms i coin in the future.
if there are any questions, i’m here to answer them. for now, this is what i’m thinking;
transid / trans- -> non-disordered atypical dysphoria.
arissomei / arisso- -> disordered atypical dysphoria. [“-harmful” terms are not inherently disordered. whether an identity is disordered or not is entirely up to the individual since they know themselves best].
That is a thoughtful thing to do,so thanks! but I’m thinking, there is such a thing as disordered transid identities. I’m specifically thinking of transabled in its original definition to explain the experience of BIID, which is a disordered thing. It would suck big time to be displaced towards arrisomei when the label explicitly excludes being transabled, you know?

i’m a bit confused. i thought biid was specific to desiring amputation and paralysis, so it wouldn’t be a good catch-all for disordered transids. and if i recall correctly, arissomei is inclusive of transabled-aligned terms, but not of transharmful-aligned ones. definitely correct me if i’m wrong about any of that. [honestly i think we should disregard the creator’s exclusionary intent with arissomei and just give it our own, more inclusive definition.]
using arissomei for disordered transids wouldn’t be something forced upon the entire community, if you’re concerned about that. i completely get it if anyone doesn’t want to be anywhere near arissomei terms due to its history with rancid, hypocritical anti-radqueers.
the main idea with this is to give those who wish to emphasize whether their atypical dysphoria is disordered or not the ability to do so. before antis made arissomei, they would assume that everyone who was transid was only doing it ‘for fun’, which i’m sure was frustrating to those who were disordered. the disorder status of one’s atypical dysphoria may not be important to everyone, so like i’ve mentioned, it’s completely optional to use the reclaimed version of arissomei.
