There’s something about the fact that there are still anti-endos who put “demo system” in their dnis right next to endos and created systems, because I don’t think anyone has genuinely identified as a demo system… like… ever….
I remember when the term first appeared on tiktok I went on a deep dive and I think I found the orgins but I unnfortunately didn’t save any screenshots.
But from what I can remember they was a tiktok account for system who’s system name was demo system. They made some tiktoks introducing a few alters, mentioning they were endogenic and they were trying out the label of system. Not trying out being a system, trying out the label aka questioning.
At this point in time, there was basically no endogenic community on tiktok. Most systems on there were anti endo and any that weren’t quickly became so as the only talk of endogenics on tiktok was from antis. I have no idea whether it’s still like this now tho bc I don’t use it anymore.
So what happened is this system had a harrasment campain started against them and it quickly got misconstructed that they were trying out being a system and demo system being some sort of label for that. From there it basically just spread from anti endo to anti endo with nobody ever really checking for the source of the label, just trusting other antis that its a thing.
I don’t have the best memory so this might not be fully accurate so take it with a grain of salt. I’d welcome somebody else to try to do the same deep dive, tho it may be a lot harder now due to how much time has passed seeing as my invvestigation was only a few months after it popped up.
