This can be used without the trans prefix as a reclaimed term for mixed-race folkel, or with the trans suffix by folkel who believe they are/feel like they should be Mischlings, the term used by the Third Reich to refer to people who were mixed “Aryan” and “Non-Aryan”.

(Reminder that “Mischling”, like any other racial term, is made up and is a social construct, so you may use this term is whatever way feels right to you.)”

Context: I am categorizing this as a ‘transharm-ed/ful’ term because of the historical context around this term.

This is relating to the Nuremberg Laws of Nazi Germany. These laws seem to state that a Mischling zweiten Grades is a person of mixed race (second degree) and 1/4 Jewish. Mischling ersten Grades is a person of mixed race (first degree) and either 3/8 or 1/2 Jewish. It appears that Mischlings were somewhat allowed to be approved for Reich Citizenship, with caveats that punished people for engaging with Jewish community. This is just a basic overview based on what I could find from a cursory search on the topic. Obviously these laws were/are antisemitic.
