hi! just asking this because i’m a dumb dog who can’t really speak english so i need some clarification, sorry 🙁

how is your aap flag different than aam flags, if your aap flag is exclusive for minors?

I’ll try to explain it in a clear way ^^

Adult attracted person is a flag/term for people who are attracted to adults, and not adults attracted to person, so it is exclusive to minors. It is different from AAM because the attraction of AAP is romantic, but not necessarily for people who want to date adults, they feel attraction but do not feel comfortable dating an adult. and it also fits the fictosexual/romantic question, attraction for fictitious adults, you want to have them but do not necessarily want to date them out of fear/hesitation (this includes CSA).

You don’t necessarily need to fit into these requirements to be AAP, you may just want to date an adult and do so, AAP is not exclusive to people with trauma or victim of abuse, even if most of the AAP people I know are like that, including me 🙂

Speaking for me, AAP is the desire to date an adult, I was attracted to them and liked the idea of having a relationship with them, but he is even afraid to get close to older people because of traumas or other things (something very similar to cupioromantic) but still dreams of a relationship like this is strongly desired.

As I said, you don’t need to fit into this to be AAP, you can just not be afraid of older people and follow your relationship with them ^_^”
