“Real Safequeer/Shelterqueer

(Reclamation of an exclusionist term.)

Real Safequeer/Shelterqueer is a term mainly made in opposition to “Safequeer” and terms such as it, but can be used standalone as a radinclus term.

“Safequeer” is an exclusionist term under the guise of a critinclus one. (The creator of critinclus [critical inclusionist] opposes “safequeer”.) It has since been edited to simply be an “inclus” term. Here’s some of it’s stances:

• Being “anti-exclusionist”
• Being anti-endo/tulpa
• Being anti-mpsec lesbians/gays & lesboys/turigirls
• Being “kink critical”
• Being “anti-transandrophobia truthers” (truthers being a saneist term) and grouping them together with transmisogynists.

Therefore, “safequeer” is not a particularly safe or inclusionist term.

Real Safequeer, however, stands for:

• Being pro-MOGAI/xenogenders/neopronouns/mspec lesbians & gays/lesboy & turigirl
• Being genuinely anti-exclusionist/transmed/terf/swerf/radfem
• Being pro-endo/tulpa
• Being aware of transandrophobia and it’s existence and validity as a term
• Being pro-good faith identities and those who identify with identities in good faith.

Real Safequeer is in support of disabled folks, people of color and for queer liberation & solidarity.

The Real Safequeer symbol is an orange cactus flower. 🏵️

Shelterqueer can be used as an alternative term to disambiguate from “safequeer” entirely.
