Brumeromantic

An aromantic identity in which a person is unsure of their place on the aromantic spectrum, or even if they have one at all. They might not be sure if they’re aro or allo, experience romantic attraction to any degree, or what aromantic label they might fall under. They might use seemingly contradictory terms such as aromantic, demiromantic, and greyromantic simultaneously, as they feel they could potentially be any one of them, but aren’t sure which fits best, if any at all.

I decided to coin this term specifically, because surprisingly, there isn’t really one out there that fits my exact experience. Sure, there’s greyromantic and quoiromantic, but those all have other definitions, too. The most popular definition of greyromantic is “experiencing occasional romantic attraction” and the one for quoiromantic is “not being able to tell the difference between romantic and platonic attraction.”

These two words contain multiple different definitions, and only one definition of each word fits me, but no one’s mind is gonna head towards those definitions if I say I’m grey or quoi.

Anyway, brume is just another word for fog or mist, and the flag colors don’t necessarily have meaning per se, they just represent an aromantic identity shrouded in the fog of uncertainty. I also kinda made an ace version, but since I’m not ace, I’m not really sure about it.”
