“So I’m the original coiner of transseverity. It was my first ever radqueer coining but I’m not 100% happy with it. Based on a couple of my own ideas and ways I’ve seen it used I am making a new coining post to expand upon the original definition. I also wanna coin 2 subterms well I’m at it.

Transseverity/Transintensity

A transid identity were one identifies as having/desires a different severity/intensity of a certain aspect of themselves. What counts as a different severity/intensity is up to the user.

This can apply to disability but can also apply to other things like trauma, experiences, emotions, identity or anythimg else you can think of! You can use severi- or intense- as a prefix in a similar way to trans.

I realized that transseverity can apply to a lot more than just disability so I’m opening up the term. I’ve noticed some people using severi- as prefix before so decided to add it to the og def.

I’m also adding transintensity as an alt word as there are some situations were using intensity would make a lot more sense.

For example, if someone wants there age to be felt more strongly and be more prominent in their life, this is along the same lines as transseverity but the word severity doesn’t fully fit do so intensity is there as an alternative.

Superseverity/Superintensity

A subterm of transseverity/intensity specifing that one wants/identifies with the aspect being more severe/intense.

A subterm of transseverity/intensity specifing that one desires/identifies with the aspect being less severe/intense.

Made the subterms as there was simply a need for them.
There is also some people who seem to think that transseverity only means more severe and not different severity. This is partially my fault as I only gave more severe examples in the og post as that was my personal experience. I want to make it clear that transseverity will always include both less and more severe.”

A collection of separate bodies that are connected in some fashion. They may be all controlled by the same mind, separate minds able to communicate and switch bodies with each other or anything inbetween. Hivemind is not inherently a plural aligned term, we just exprience it in a plural aligned way.

Some terminology we’ve started using:

Hex- A nickname used to refer to the different bodies in a Hivemind

Hivemate- Equivalent to headmate. A term used to refer to a member of a hivemind. The number of hivemates will not necessarily correlate with the number of hexes and a hivemate does not have to “belong” to a specific hex.

Hivespace- Equivalent to headspace. A space were hivemates can go and communicate with each other.

Flipping- Similar to switching. The act of switching bodies with each other.

Hexhost- The hivemate who is primarily in control of a specific hex.”
