Blizzardqueer is for POC (pale POC especially), and POC supporters who are tired of Winterqueers promoting the idea of Whitemisia and using that as an excuse to erase someone’s race, by insisting they’re white and not POC, and that the colorism and/or racism they face is a product of being “white” and not the natural product of a racist and colorist society.

Blizzardqueer recognizes that the idea of Whitemisia is a white supremacist tactic to make pale POC feel less POC for being pale skinned and/or “white-passing”. It is also recognizing that Whitemisia is a poor interpretation of colorism as a coping mechanism that has been twisted by white supremacists to erase a POC’s race or further disguise colorism and/or racism.

THIS BLANKQUEER TERM IS AGAINST WINTERQUEER/WINTERPUNK!!!

Whitemisia is not a thing that affects WHITE PEOPLE! Racism and Colorism affect Pale and White Passing POC. Pale and White Passing POC face more discrimination than white people ever will. Whitemisia is just a poorly misunderstood version of colorism and racism that white supremacists have taken to erase a POC’s race because they’re “pale” and “white passing”.

This was initially intended to be a recoining of Winterqueer, but I had decided to give it a different name to avoid confusion.

So keep in mind! This term is anti Winterqueer/Winterpunk!!”
