an offshoot of perisexness that is altered by ceremonial/traditional rites of passage or long-term practices. said changes in sex traits tend to occur at young ages or before a large event, forever altering the body as the practices continue generation to generation.

this term is to be used on its own as it’s own sex, as it’s definition includes the birth sex and no further addition like “perisex ” needs to be added.

includes deliberate and non-consensual acts such as:

• pumping
• chest ironing
• elongation (vulva or foreskin)
• scarification of genitalia
• circumcision
• beading and piercing
• hood reduction
• hymenorrhaphy
• FGM”
