“Irredeemable Monster Disorder (IMD)
A MUD for when one firmly believes themselves to be an “Irredeemable Monster”.
Symptoms:
- Believing oneself to be an irredeemable monster
- Low self esteem
- Depression
- Self harm
- Extreme and constant guilt and shame
- Feeling one does not deserve happiness
- Feeling they deserve punishment
- Self-Isolation
- Self-Sabotage and self-destructive behavior
- Actively working against their own recovery as they believe they don’t deserve it
- Believing friends/family/etc deserve better than them
- Constantly rumanating over past action they believe caused them to be irredeemable
- Needing to constantly work to be better and never feeling like they’ve improved enough
- Believing they are a monster/subhuman
- Possble delusional beliefs about being a monstorous nonhuman species and believing that species to be inferior
Possible Causes
- Guilt over harmful past actions
- Self blame for trauma
- Self blame for others trauma
- Guilt over actions the indvidual percieves as harmful
- Internilised -phobia/-misia of some kind
- Delusions of being responsible for harm
- Delusions of being born evil/harmful/irredeemable
- Any others you want really!
