“Radqweer / communicationqueer

aka, commqueer

a blankqueer stance that revolves around supporting people that have difficulties communicating thoughts and emotions!

it has the same stances as radqueer (supporting good faith identities, being anti-harassment, etc..) but focuses on the following;

• removing shame from atypical ways of communicating. some examples of atypical communication:
• sign language/brail
• nonverbal cues used by autistic people, ex nodding, pointing or thumbs up/down
• preferring texting over face-to-face or voice/video calls
• showing affection through jokes, gift giving, sending memes/videos or any more unnoticeable/unconventional way. counted as communicating as you’re communicating your affections
• advocating for these methods of communication to be more common or accessible/less expensive
  supporting those who use creative mediums as an outlet for emotions or as a way to speak
• generally, letting people communicate how they want and removing the norm of communicating through spoken languages, as many people struggle to do so

this miiiight be difficult to understand, I had a hard time making this >.> but I think that self expression is very important, even in simple ways like nodding rather than saying yes if you’d rather do that. I’ve personally felt bad about the ways in which I feel comfortable talking and communicating and I hope it resonates with some people.”
