“I’d like to make a list of terms that are somewhat similar to transIDs but specifically aren’t transids and are actually in good faith. …Does that make sense? I hope that it does. Here are the terms I can think of:
- Dissomei
- Xenogenders, Genderembodiment
- NeoAGAB / XenoAGAB (These were coined at different times, but from what I can tell both mean the same thing)
- Relationship Anarchy, Allions (Example)
- Various teritary attraction terms held at @tertiary-attraction-archive
- Constelic
- Vesility (@vesility appears to be an archiving blog for subterms)
- Hearthome
- Alterhuman
- Archetrope
- Aldernic
- Xenonatured
- Vior
- Eiment
- Intenxper
- Reclaimed/Anti-Radqueer Xenomalady
Basically, terms that are not intended to hurt anyone and may be useful to people with atypical dysphoria from any cause. May I ask @dissodic-archive to signal boost? I feel like your blog’s followers would be the right audience to show me more terms like these.
*edit* Removed xenomalady, I was under the impression it wasn’t originally a radqueer term, but it was. I did see a mention of “parabled” or something similar for system members, if anyone has any info on that please show me!
- This posted has been updated with a new term and links to information about every term in the list!
- I have also hoarded a Rentry URL to be a backup of this list. There is currently no real content there beyond the links, I hope to eventually make it look nicer.
What do my followers think about this word: Identiora as an umbrella term for identities like these?
From Latin “identitas” + “orare”
Also, neoAGAB and xenoAGAB do not/should not mean the same thing, I apologize for that error.”
In another reblog from the same post:
“feedback:
I like the term just would like to hear the reasoning behind -ora (is it bc words come from a mouth?). “orar” is like… “to pray” in spanish. so i would like to know if that was intentional or not and why
Sorry I missed this originally! That part is based on orare, an Italian term borrowed from Latin. I was aiming for the first definition on that page: “to orate”. Orate means to speak, give a speech, to speak passionately for or against something, and I really liked that. People who ID with the stuff I listed here:
- Are passionate about the thing
- May coin terms and spend time clearly defining what they do and don’t mean, which is somewhat similar to a speech
I also liked the fact that it can mean “to speak”, because that’s a big part of these kinds of identities. We are speaking about the unique experience we have and advocating for it.
Sorry for rambling, I did get distracted, but I hope that was helpful.”
