Abrealmian is a term for anyone who roleplays as being in another realm online for comfort. This can be for many reasons, including but not limited to: kin, systemhood, transID, atypical dysphoria, maladaptive daydreaming, and delusion.

Abrealms are the worlds that Abrealmians inhabit. They can be existing fictional worlds, a version of the real world, a world completely made by the Alirealmian, a mix of these, or something else entirely. Abrealms are commonly stated to have connection to this world via the internet, however this is not always the case. Some Abrealms are connected to our world in different ways, such as a body in a process similar to reality shifting.

Common terms:

• Abrealm: A world and Abrealmian inhabits
• Abrealm-hopper: An Abrealmian with multiple Abrealms
• Outercom: A device commonly seen in Abrealms with technology, especially advanced tech. Allows communication between realms, with this world being a sort of “host server.” This device can be seen rarely in Abrealms with less tech, albeit usually in a much simpler form. This device has no set appearance.
