[Image ID: Three images: a pride flag with symbol, a pride flag without symbol, and the symbol on a transparent background. The flag has 7 even horizontal stripes, going: dark turquoise, teal, desaturated cyan, light blueish grey, purple, dark blueish purple, very dark purpleish blue. The symbol is a black head and shoulders, where the head is the curve of a question mark. It has a thick outline the color of the middle stripe. /End ID]
This is not a coining post! Instead, this is me making an alternate flag for prosopagnosia. I call it the hydrangea prosopagnosia flag. This is from the colors of the flower as well as the way they adapt and change.
Stripe meanings:
– confusion, lack of clarity
– adaptation, using other cues
– support and help from others
– community, understanding
– neurodivergence, overlap with other neurodivergences/conditions
– mild/partial prosopagnosia
– severe/total prosopagnosia
The purple gradient is meant to represent the spectrum of prosopagnosia as well as the different types, such as associative/apperceptive or acquired/congenital. Please tell me if any terminology here is wrong, or I have framed something in the wrong light! I am always happy to learn. /genuine
