“Dissociapunk

A punk term/tag/subculture made to further push the acceptance of those with dissociative disorders, and to rectify both the demonization and the demedicalization of these disorders.
This term is not intended to be entirely exclusive to those with complex dissociative disorders. Individuals who have other dissociative disorders such as DPDR, dissociative amnesia, UDD, non-alter based OSDD presentations, and allies to the community are encouraged to use and identify with this term as well.
THIS TERM IS vehemently against any and all forms of ableism, and the demonization and demedicalization of disorders/disabilities. It is for the push towards an accessible future for all. It is pro-recovery, pro-self diagnosis, and psych critical due to the long history that the psychiatric community has with dissociative disorders.
THIS TERM IS NOT pro endogenic/any form of nontraumagenic systems, as it was made with the intent to have a punk term and tag seperate from endogenic communities, so I politely ask that (pro) endos do not use this term. This term also does not encourage other harmful language such as cluster b abuse terms, I.e. “narcissistic abuse”, or terms such as the “evil alter” (when used by someone without a dissociative disorder and without the intent to reclaim it).
Colour meanings:Red: The anger and hurt that comes with being consistently demonized, ostracized, and misunderstood for having a dissociative disorderBlack: BIPOC with dissociative disorders that have been dismissed and mistreated by the psychiatric community due to their race and skin colourDark static blue: DissociationLight blue: Integration and cooperation of alters in complex dissociative disordersYellow: Healing and trauma recovery
I consent to this term being archived and to others making alternative flags.
I do NOT consent to this term being recoined or reclaimed by (pro) nontraumagenic systems. This is not a term for you.”
