Actually, I forgot I’ve been meaning to coin a new alterhuman term.
It’s called Teoran or Teohuman. It’s a term for when you’re nonhuman internally but human externally, such as being a nonhuman trapped in a human body. However, there’s other ways to experience it. For instance, feeling like your human body is containing your nonhumanity, or nonhuman “core” like a shell, feeling like your human body holds a nonhuman soul…. and so on.
Someone who is a teoran might feel like they’re trapped or stuck within their human body. On the other hand, it could just feel like it’s being held or contained within something. It may or may not be uncomfortable or distressing.
With the term “teoran” you’d use it kind of like you use “human.” Like, “I am a teoran.” Meanwhile with teohuman or something like that, you can do “I am teohuman.”
- Noun form: Teoran (plural is teorans)
- Adjective form: Teoranic
- Prefix form: Teo-. Could be called teohuman, teobeing, teothrope, or whatever else.
The term comes from The Irish word teoranta, meaning limited or restricted. Teoran would be pronounced “torran,” and teo- as a prefix would be pronounced “tey-oh.”
I’m aware there’s a lot of alterhumans who feel this way. This is just an opt-in label for people who feel that it’s a very prominent part of their nonhumanity that they want to label.
