※ Tamenity is an identity umbrella that encompasses several labels and areas of identity.
Tamenibeing as a term under the alterhuman umbrella describes an individual who feels that something has interacted with and/or affected their current (alter)human identity. Said identity did not fundamentally change as a result of it, but it is undeniably affected to a relevant extent. It may, for example, feel like one’s identity was stained, dyed, or decorated by the interaction. Tamenous experiences can occur in this world as well as exomemories etc., and can be annotated positively or negatively.
This encompasses experiences such as (a non-exhaustive list): – A human that makes contact with a supernatural being and feels it influenced their human-ness, but did not make them non-human. – A human daydreamer who, because of their daydreaming, feels they have had experiences beyond the typical human scope, but are still human. – An introject who was a cat in their exomemories, and when they became part of a plural collective, their cat-ness was affected but they are still a cat. – A dogkin individual who has spent a lot of time with cats and has taken on cat habits, but isn’t a cat in any way.
Terms to describe one’s Tamenity may be constructed as Tamen[species] such as Tamenhuman, Tamenwolf, or even as Tamen[specific ID] i.e. Tamencatkin. It may also extend to more broad categories such as Tamenfictive and Tamenotherkin. If preferred, **Tameni-** can be used as the root instead.
Additionally, Tamenigender as a neogender identity describes the same experience as outlined above applied to gender, where something has interacted with and/or affected one’s current gender identity without causing it to fundamentally change. This may be applied to specific identity, for example Tamenigirl or Tamenxenic.
The concept of Tamenity may further be applied to other areas of identity like orientation.
