This is my offficial proposal for a transcharacter symbol. Here’s the meaning.
The arrow pointing to the right is the color of human blood, symbolizing both the humanity one may start with that slowly fades and the literal blood that may be drawn during physical transition. It also represents the hard work (or; “blood, sweat, and tears”) that goes into transition.
The arrow pointing left is blue, which symbolizes change, clarity, calmness, and tranquility. In other words, the emotions one would feel after transitioning. The specific shade is, of course, a reference to who came up with the symbol!
Or, if you don’t want to transition, you can of course ignore all of that and view the two arrows crossing and in opposite colors as a metaphor for the identity itself!
The sign in the center is the Norse rune of Dagaz, which symbolizes change and new beginnings.
