This is great! Thanks very much for your support, I wish there was more people out there like you, it would make our lives a whole lot easier 🙂 Just knowing that there are allies out there who are willing to acknowledge our existence and say that we should have equal rights is something that brings hope and comfort to many of us. As to the non-reproductive part, I actually did a study on the risks of consanguinamorous reproduction and it appears that one generation is reasonably safe for most people, multiple generations is not.

I think couples should be able to find out their individual risks and make sound choices from there. After all, there are a lot of regulars who may be at increased risk due to a congenital disability or illness, and nobody is telling those people that they can’t or shouldn’t have kids. Given the information, most people would make the right decision for them, those at way increased risk such as when there is a genetic illness in the family have the option of using a sperm bank or surrogate. All options when it comes to reproduction should be carefully considered. Bringing a child into the world is not something to be taken lightly, for any couple.
