โง A Lonesome Person is a negative Special Person attachment that occurs with individuals with Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD). A Lonesome Person is someone who is more often than not a subject to the person with DPD (pwDPD)โs negative symptoms, and may be subjected to persistent Devaluation or Splitting. This may be someone who has continuously left the pwDPD to their own devices or actively tells the pwDPD that they canโt take care off themselves and need to rely on other people (Ex. Rapunzelโs mother in Tangled). This could be a Depended person or similar attachment gone wrong.โง
Meaning: “A Depended/Dependa Person (DP) is a Special Person attachment that occurs with individuals with Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD). The person with DPD (pwDPD) depends on their DP the most for decision-making, and their input may be considered superior to all other individuals’ input. The pwDPD may easily become anxious if their DP doesnโt speak to them for long periods, and the thought of losing their DP can be a distressing yet constant thought in the back of the pwDPDโs mind.”
